Project Information

About this project:

This is the vfloppy project ("vfloppy")

This project was registered on SourceForge.net on Feb 14, 2010, and is described by the project team as follows:

An simulator for the Epson TF-15 Terminal Floppy dual floppy disk drive unit. The unit is used with the Epson PX-8 and PX-4 portable CP/M computers. The goal of the project is to support the full command set of the TF-20 (Epson HX-20 support).

Vfloppy is written in c. It uses a serial port to connect to the PX-4 or PX-8. The floppy contents is represented by a file on disk. The current versions of vfloppy (2.0 and before) start at track 4, as the PX-? machines never access lower tracks. The real TF-20 stores boot info here. For proper TF-20 simulation and HX-20 support, these tracks should be added.

Information will be added here as time permits, in the mean while, you can check The original page for info.
